The Woodstock Music and Arts Festival happened over a half century ago in beautiful Sullivan County, NY. The cultural impact of this monumental gathering is like a glorious tree that keeps growing and sharing its fruits as a catalyst and breakthrough moment in areas of music, art, crafts, spirituality, and back to nature movements, while promoting independence, self abidance, group collaboration and peaceful political protest.
As the Catskill Public Theater (CPT) approaches our Summer 2025 season, we are developing a production that includes short theatrical skits that expand on the themes and messages that still resonate with the Woodstock phenomena. We envision this series of vignettes being dramatic as well as comedic, presented in a format that will include original content, dynamic multi-media sequences, music of the day, along with visual projections of iconic and previously unseen images taken by the recently discovered photographer, Mark Goff >, whose collection is represented by CPT creative director, Nick Clemente.
